Great Brit mysteries but look at show titles
I will start by saying the British Midsomer Murders series is very entertaining, especially those featuring John Nettles as Barnaby. The DVD sets from Acorn play on US DVD machines, no problem, but I would suggest you look at the back or sides of the box and read the episode titles, because they are not in wiki episode list order. I wanted to see some from season seven, and they were on Set 8, and then only half the season, so it pays to look at all the pictures of which episodes are included.

Mystery and murder in the English countryside.
This is an extremely entertaining show. Ive enjoyed it for several years, both on cable and now through DVD' s which allow for repeated viewing. In my opinion, the original show- Seasons 1 through 13 with John Nettles, is the best. I really like the bits with his wife and daughter-the love that is there, and the frustration between home and career' and how they all deal with it. Good cast,production, scripts-well worth the money!!

Great stories. Plots keep you guessing and the characters and settings wonderful.I have now purchased set 9 and10. I would recommend this to all mystery lovers.

Love this series
This series is great for any one who loves a good "who-done-it". Every episode keeps you guessing. Great characters, intelligent stories, beautiful "Midsomer", and not too gory.

Midsomer Murders
As always Midsomer Murders is terrific. It is contemporary Agatha Christie type of murders. Clean and cleaver.
