When I needed to get a second TV for the spare room I wanted to go with a Panasonic as I always have done. The prices seemed so high that I had to look at other possibilities. Remembering that a friend always praises Toshiba I thought why not. As it happens I'm now a total convert and will be looking to a Tosh as our next main TV. Build quality is solid and nicely glides on it's swivel stand better than any Panasonic I've seen.
The only thing I'd say about this particular one is that certain older TV shows seem too heavily coloured, if that makes sense? It's like it is trying to compensate as typically they would have had that 80s washed out look. I'm not great with settings though so perhaps there is something I'm missing but since it tends to only happen on old shows like Columbo or Murder She Wrote - which my mum likes to watch when she stays, it doesn't matter. She doesn't notice the difference either so maybe it is just me.
All considered, a really nice TV especially for under a hundred quid!
