Happy Feet is an animated family film that teaches children and adults alike that it is okay to be different. The DVD follows the lives of a group of Emperor Penguins in Antarctica who make the most out of their harsh climate by singing. The ability to sing well is paramount in penguin life because it is how penguins choose their mates. Every penguin is able to sing; at least every penguin except for Mumble. Born a little bit different, Mumble cannot sing at all, but he can dance, something no other penguin can do. Unfortunately, the ability to tap dance does not impress the other penguins, much less Gloria, Mumble’s childhood friend and romantic interest. Happy Feet follows Mumble’s journey as he grows from an outcast into his own dancing penguin self. Antarctica will never again be the same.
