Product Information

Based on the Hans Adler play, this Technicolor musical comedy stars Alice Faye, Don Ameche, and Carmen Miranda. Ameche and Faye play the Baron and Baroness Duarte, a couple who travels south, but the change in scenery doesn't improve their financial woes. The husband trades places with an impersonator (also played by Ameche), but the women in their lives begin to suspect that something is going on. Miranda costars as the impersonator's suspicious girlfriend. THAT NIGHT IN RIO includes a featurette on the life of Faye.

Great Movie
As I watched this movie I couldn't help but notice that in the dance sequences not all of the dancers were in formation. I also noticed that some of the makeup somehow missed the mark, you could see that it had not applied correctly, on both, the male actors and female actors. Other than this, I did enjoy this movie.

Laugh and listen.
The music was wonderful. Alice Faye should have kept making movies. Carmen Miranda is a reason to learn Protuguese.
