Not as good as Age of Empires II....
The follow-up to AOE II is good, but trying to surpass, or even equal, the gameplay and storyline of its predecessor is a feat unto itself. Unfortunately, AOE III doesn't quite live up to the standard of AOE II. The graphics are better in the sequel, but overall, the second installment in the AOE empire is the best and the third edition is not as good. The expansion packs are a nice addition, though.
