Product Information

Re-release of the two first installments in the Mother series: Mother for the 8-bit Famicom and Mother 2 for the 16-bit Super Famicom. Only Mother 2 was released in the west under the title Earthbound (SNES). Both titles are turn-based roleplaying games deal with the impact of an alien threat on kids that live in a small town. The second game introduces players to Ness (of Super Smash Bros. fame), a boy genious with psychic powers. After a mysterious meteorite landed near his home in Onett, the whiz kid set out on a quest to save the world. The Game Boy Advance two-in one pack includes both games in their original form on the same cartridge.

This is a fan translated game. Mother 1&2
Mother 1 is fully translated and if you're buying it for the first game go for it, but Mother 2 is hardly translated in some areas and if you really want to play mother 2/Earthbound I'd just get a send reproduction somewhere else.

little buggy, but playable
as a fan of the mother(earthbound) series, I enjoyed playing them, along with having a hard copy of the game, but the game is playable for the most part, mother 1 is translated to English but the music in the game sounds rough, so I had to lower the volume or play it on mute, mother 2 however. sound and music are smooth while some text where unable to read when talking to some of the NPCs, this doesnt crash the game. but helps out a bit on who you need to talk to in order progress throught the game those NPCs will have a full english text.

Awesome game, part of best series of all time.
It is an amazing experience of the first two mother games in one! The storyline is compelling since it is telling one whole story about an alien's decent into madness. However, there are a few faults with this: mother 2. Mother 2 has a few problems because of the translation errors, and due to this, the game is mostly not understandable. Other than that, great game! The third best game of all time (two is chronotrigger and the best game of all time is Mother 3. Go check those two out sometime too!)

Fun Times
I'm just a little bit done with this, but so far so good. It's charming, with simple graphics and hip music. Be aware that this is a so-called partial English fan translatiion. I'm waiting for the Japanese portion, but I can get through Japanese alright so it shouldn't be an issue. The game says it's a "free" fan translation, but I didn't mind paying a few dollars to get it.

AMAZING!!!
Great Reproduction would highly recommend it to all Earthbound / Mother fans. The carts were also red, this is a problem sometimes when buying reproductions but these look almost more authentic than what Nintendo themselves would produce 11/10
