Racoon City was once an idyllic and prosperous burg; its businesses were thriving and its residents were peaceful and happy. Then rumors of an accident at a mountain lab began circulating, instilling fear and loathing in the wilderness community. Strange creatures began appearing and countless citizens fled for their lives. Many were found dead. The stench of rotting human flesh soiled the formerly pristine air as zombies flooded the streets and fires lit the night skies.<br><br>In an effort to stop the madness, the Racoon City Police Department recruited a crop of new officers, including the highly touted Leon S. Kennedy. You must guide the rookie cop through the streets and buildings of Racoon City to find out what happened and help him set it right. As you move from location to location, you must solve many puzzles and battle a seemingly endless supply of zombies. You'll open doors, push objects, open boxes and pick up first-aid spray, ammo, weapons, oil lighters, healthful herbs and other items. You can save, switch out and examine your items via an inventory screen.<br><br>You begin playing Resident Evil 2 equipped with a simple (but deadly) combat knife. If you manage to stay alive long enough, you can add a pistol, a shotgun and other zombie-stopping weapons to your arsenal. By finding typewriters and typewriter ribbon, you can save your progress throughout the adventure. The time it takes you to complete the game is your score.

Good port
Of course the graphics are not 3D it’s heavily downgraded almost feeling like a new game which is not bad. Honestly it’s a really good game with a nice inventory system responsive controls and alright graphics. The story is good and even with it not being in 3D their are some surprising scares. I’d give this game a solid 4 stars. If your expecting a exact port of resident evil 2 then you’d be disappointed. But I recommend you look at it as it’s own entry into the resident evil series.
