Product Information

The first entry in a new series, Professor Layton and the Curious Village is a collection of 150 brainteasers presented in an adventure-style format. Professor Layton is sent to investigate the village of St. Mystere, whose offbeat residents take delight in baffling visitors with riddles, sliding puzzles, optical illusions, spatial reasoning, mazes, and tests of logic. Players can interact with a number of characters, explore various areas around the village, and learn more of the story through hand-drawn animated cut-scenes. By solving each puzzle, players will move closer to discovering the whereabouts of an affluent baron's prized treasure. In addition to touch-screen controls, The Curious Village on DS supports downloadable content via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

Love the puzzles.
I absolutely love proffesor Layton games and was so happy to receive this in the mail. Within two days I had it completed and it was so much fun. The puzzles are great and its a whole lot of fun(even if it doesn't have all the fancy aspects of the newer Layton games). Would recommend.

Unique and interesting!
Excellent game to spend a few minutes a day on. Puzzles were challenging enough to make me think but not simple enough to just blow through. I enjoyed it enough to buy the next in the series!

Searching for puzzle/brain games for grandma.
Searching for puzzle/brain games for grandma. She likes it lots. It is older but still functions. She has had to set it aside a few times as she had gotten stuck on a puzzle and needed a break.

10 year old me is so jealous
The game cartridge arrived in perfect condition and Professor Layton games are as good as I remember. Except now I actually know how to solve the riddles ;)

Pleased the Child
The game arrived quickly and my daughter seems to like it. She disappears for hours and plays it so I assume it meets her exacting standards.

Fantastic game
This game really nakes you think with the puzzles and can be super challenging at times and i really loved the story. Definitely a great game for those who like puzzkes and mysteries.

Challenging, fun, game.
I am not the type of person to take hints or short cuts, and some of the puzzles have taken me weeks to figure out. I play this game in my spare time and it will probably take me a year to finish. Some puzzles are very easy too. The easy ones take me seconds to answer. I look forward to playing all the Professor Layton games. Good story with the game also.

As Fun As I Remember!
My purchase of this game was actually to replace one that I'd had a few years back, and it's just as much fun as I remember it being. I have no complaints about this product at all.
