Great product
I actually purchased this unit as a replacement to the one I purchased almost 14 years ago. I own and operate a video service company and one of my services is to transfer all consumer video tapes to DVD. Since I've owned it I have burned over 3,500 DVDs. It's definitely a work horse. One of the great features of this machine is Flexible Recording where I can set the recording time. Most DVD burners did not have this feature. You were limited to 1, 2, 4, and 8 hour recording time so if I tape was 1 1/2 hours long, you had to record a 2 hour DVD or stand by and stop the recording which was not always possible for me. Very Happy buyer
Product does recording on DVD. When using the timer recording, the RAM capability allows you to edit out the commercials while you are watching that recording. Then when watching that recording in the future, there is no need to fast forward thru the commercials. But the machine also has a commercial skip feature if you do not feel the need to edit out commercials. great recorder

Glad I was able to find it!
My original Panasonic DVR-E55 recorder finally broke after about 20 years. I really wanted the same make and model because it was easy to use and had worked well for so long.
