What happens when Bruce Wayne gets old? This is the question faced in the "Batman Beyond: Season 2" set. This cartoon series tells the story of an elderly Batman who needs a replacement. With Season 2, my Batman Beyond collection is complete!!!!
DC/Warner Bros excels in superhero animation--that's all there is to it. I have the complete Superman, Justice League, and Batman Beyond DVD volumes. I'll tell anyone that it's cheaper to buy the collected volumes individually rather than the complete set simultaneously. Surprisingly, Batman Beyond Season Two cost a few dollars more than the other two volumes (I paid under 13 for those, by the way). I can't really complain because I paid less than $20 (free shipping included), so I have no complaints. Batman Beyond is the best redux of the Spiderman mythos I've seen in any medium. Plus, Terry has the original Batman/Bruce Wayne as a mentor. Couple this with an interesting future setting and engaging villains and supporting characters & you have something that's far superior to any "Spidey" knockoffs.
