In sunny southern California, three Vietnam vets join forces as private eyes in this detective series from the mid-1980's. Nick (Joe Penny) and Cody (Perry King), the brawn of the operation, are aided by the smarts and computer savvy of lovable nerd Murray 'Boz' Bozinsky (Thom Bray). They run their operation from Cody's boat, the Riptide, and keep an arsenal of other modes of transportation that includes a helicopter called the Screaming Mimi, Nick's Corvette, and their speedboat, the Ebb-Tide. This collection includes all the episodes from the first season.

entertaining but not boring
RIPTIDE WAS ONE OF THOSE TV SERIES THAT SHOULD HAD BEEN ON LONGER THEN IT WAS. RIPTIDE WAS A TV SERIES THAT OUT CLASS MOST OF THE TV SHOWS THAT ARE ON TODAY. I DO NOT WATCH VERY MUCH TV THESE DAYS BUT IF THERE WERE MORE TV SHOWS LIKE RIPTIDE I WOULD WATCH MORE TV SHOWS THEN I DO NOW.

Wonderful Family Series
This is a great series that the whole family can enjoy. I watched this when it was on TV and I was so glad to see it available on DVD. The characters are so much fun to watch, they keep you laughing every episode. If you were a fan of the show when it was on you are going to love seeing it again.

Good blast from the past
Stephen Cannell created so many great shows in the 80s. Too many to list here. This is one of them. Detective show of friends working together using boats, helicopter and a robot.
