This ABC show quickly established itself as an intriguing sci-fi thriller with a unique twist. Set in Florida, the show begins with a terrifying storm threatening the inhabitants of a small town. After the weather passes, U.S. Park Ranger Russell Varon (Eddie Cibrian) tries to pick up the pieces, but also gets some startling revelations from his daughter who believes that she has seen some mysterious lights hovering by the water as the storm raged. At first, no one pays her any attention. But then the post-storm events take some very strange turns, and Veron is forced to listen to his daughter and to begin investigating some of the eerie occurrences that beset the town. One of the better in a long line of failed prime time SF series
This SF invasion series was a bit more watchable than most that come and go quickly, esp. on traditional (retread) network tv, in large part, due to the performance of Bill Fitchner. Unfortunately, it joins that now long line of series that end on a cliffhanger that will never be resolved. It has a good creep factor and generally good pacing and is more reminiscent of the classic ABC series of the 60s, The Invaders, which we remember fondly. I got a typically great deal on a brand new box set (here on ebay, of course) because I thought it warrants another viewing. Far better than the majority of forgettable, laughable, mind-numbing, and downright execrable stuff that can never get very far past a fair or slightly intriguing opening episode--Under the Dome, The Event (one of the worst shows ever), Extant, Surface, Flash Forward and so many others too numerous to name...or dredge up from the memory banks, rightfully and thankfully purged.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

EXCITING STAND OUT MINISERIES
This whole Mini-series was an edge-of-your-seat thrill while trying NOT to miss a segment ... or minute!... but I have to admit, the last ending episodes drifted off with not much solid feel for all the wild mystery that unfolded. Bittersweet Series
The show was very fascinating and intriguing...something I had planned to watch over a few nights time. There are 6 discs to this entire series and you will quickly find yourself on the last couple of discs very quickly and then you begin to realize this was a single season show intended to carry on to a 2nd season which never was...this show itself is very good but by the end of the series you have no answers. Loved this series and now I can view it again and again!!!
I was mesmerized by this series when it was on television and bummed when it was cancelled. With the purchase, not only can I myself see it again and again, but I can also share it with others who missed out on seeing it the first time, when it originally aired, which includes my husband! The Invasion leaves you short
Fairly entertaining to get you involved with the characters only to leave you high and dry with the ending. I suppose it was meant to be a second season following a major cliff hanger. A good series

Superb underrated scifi series that ended way too soon
