Voightlander Bessa-L Film Camera
for people who like to shoot film this is a very cool camera to have...it's small and light and has a screw in mount for lenses...you can put super wide angels on this camera with a viewfinder and the quality of the image is excellent. Lightweight reliable LTM platform
Bessa-L is really a very basic camera without view-finder or focusing aid. So you will have to rely on your guess and use the depth-of-field to take acceptable pictures. You won't be happy suing this one with a really fast lens. It is not what it is designed for any way. However, if you have wide angle lens - somethings that has a little wider DOF, then nothing beats this thing. I use mine with a VC 15mm Heliar. It is really compact and light package for that. Fun little camera
This is a quite specialized camera so if you are looking at it you more than likely know what you are looking for. They are very reliable since there is not a whole lot going on. Mine has been spot on with the shutter speeds and the meter seems to be accurate as well. The meter is fairly simply so its basically, on target, 1/2 stop over/under or full stop over under. You can use this with any L39 lenses but you will need a detachable view finder to frame the image. Keep in mind this camera has no range finder so all focusing is by guess work. Voigtlander Bessa L
This is one of the most basic, fundamental 35mm film camera bodies. It takes M39 LTM lenses and is well made. It would be most useful with 28-35mm wide angle lens with a matching VF in the hands of a more experienced photographer who understands DOF and the relationship between ASA, shutter speed and f-stop. Forced to get back to basic
This camera is appropriate only for 25mm or wider lens. It has no onboard rangefinder or focusing mechanism. Need to learn to use zone focus. Also need a separate viewfinder to carefully compose. Finally, need to know the proper exposure because the onboard meter is center weighted, which may not be accurate or appropriate for very wide lenses. It makes photos and doesn't fail ... especially great with ultra wide lens
