Simple to learn but with lots of ways to combine the different tracks and effects. Any track can be a sample, a synth, a drum, or a controller for external audio sources or external gear over midi.
It's a lot of fun, and built like a tank. Easy to throw in a backpack and power over 6xAA batteries - though it is picky about rechargables, so either get disposable or buy specialty high-output rechargables for best results.
Never really knew how much I would miss having the E2 till i had sold the first one I had
It just ticks all the boxes drum and synth sound wise
Plus the effects, wider palette of creative possiblity than some drum machines out these days pushing to be a classic clone
Very very easy to get started making beats and music, and extremely affordable. Menus can get intensive though. Check YouTube for help and you'll be good to go.
