Additional InformationThirty-eight years into their storied metal legacy, Judas Priest breaks new ground with a sprawling concept album centered on the 16th century prophet Nostradamus.
Reviews4 stars out of 5 -- "NOSTRADAMUS is dark, mystical, complex and occasionally acoustic, and the Priest write around Halford's aging voice well, emphasizing power over range.", 3 Stars Out of 5 -- "Gloriously Over-The-Top...", "The entire work drags you in with its own irresistible gravity. Striking hooks and stirring pieces of instrumentation make themselves apparent from within the stately march of their surrounds..."
I lost touch with Judas Priest sometime in the early 90s. So glad I listened to a few tracks from Nostradamus on YouTube. I've now got this booklet double CD and haven't stopped listening to it. It's classic JP although it feels slower than my recollection of them in the 80s. There's a huge 23 tracks running to 1hr 40. The booklet is nice too, with lyrics to many of the songs.
Can't wait for Firepower so I can get right back to my head-banging youth.
