TV Mini series. great to view again. Based on Steven King Novel

Stephen King Classic -Must See
What an awesome story by Stephen King. The plot, characters, and awesome acting make this a keeper for all time. It is defenitely one to rewatch over and over. Must see even to just see all the great actors that just began their careers in this movie. The story line is interesting and entertaining even if you never read the book you will enjoy this.

Mini series of a plague released by goverment
shot on 16mm film so looks more like a news report. Pro is they followed the book as close as they could. Con over 255 speaking roles so people come and go which leaves you wondering what they contributed to the movie.

Stephen King at his best. A great classic horror. Believable characters and by today's standards not too gory. Had it in VHS and upgraded to a DVD..
A classic good versus evil story. The book was great the series even better. This is a movie I pull out once a year and watch all over again. Another series worth buying is Stephen King's It. The old version. (soon to be a new motion picture summer of 2017).

M-o-o-n spells moon!
Stephen King, at his best this is S.K version of the end of the world with only a few left to start over. A man made fast acting virus is released. The people left had to completely start from scratch they had to go back to old w aways to survive. The book was awesome and the movie and actors were great! The Stand great intertainment!!!!

Another Stephen King Prophecy?
King’s book made a great mini-series with Gary Sinese Rob Lowe Molly Ringwald and Ruby Dee A great tale of good vs evil pitting the survivors of a major pandemic against each other. A unique peek at what the end of the world might look like. Great King entertainment!

Good adaptation of a long book
I love most of the movie adaptations of Stephen Kings books, including this one. I have bought the dvds of most of them since I’m afraid that the ones I’ve paid for on Amazon Prime might not be there forever. Now I just hope my DVD players hold up. I like the cast in The Stand, and it stuck to the story pretty well considering my paperback copy has 1135 pages. I love movies and I’m just not overly critical like many folks.

A must watch movie. Period.
Wonderful story by Stephen King. The plot, characters, and awesome acting lineup portraying them, all work together to make this a great dvd to anyone whether theyve read the book or not. It is a long movie, around 6hrs but divided up in miniseries parts.
