Three pirate tales and a Donald O'Conner spoof of the genre make up this collection. Loyalty and betrayal, treachery and revenge spark these swashbuckling tales of sea battles, sword fights and cannon broadsides. Wronged British naval officer, Errol Flynn, is dumped from the navy and joins pirate captain Anthony Quinn sailing Against All Flags. US Navy Commander Jeff Chandler goes undercover as a Yankee Buccaneer to infiltrate the bands of Caribbean pirates who are raiding shipping bound for US ports so he can direct the navy against the pirate threats. Aristocratic playboy Philip Friend, distressed by the corrupt and evil tactics of trader Narbonne, takes to the sea as a Robin Hood-like raider of Narbonnes' shipping, capturing his treasures. Yvonne de Carlo, a passenger on a Barbonne ship that is being raided, is taken by the pirate's charming manner, and becomes the Buccaneer's Girl. That playboy Friend is engaged to the Governor's daughter creates an interesting triangle that trader Narbonne takes pleasure in rattling as he tries to recover the treasure he has lost to pirate Friend. Donald O'Conner, a shopkeeper's apprentice, falsely accused of a crime, is taken in by a motely crew of pirates and stumbles into some success w these pirates in the South Seas. Some interesting tales w lots of action and adventure, sea battles and land raids, lady's hearts to win and bad guys to overcome. Add this set to your movie collection.
