Why $400?
This is a great adapter. It works with most canon lenses I have, and those it works with, it works really well with. AF works almost like mounted on an ef mount camera. Many lenses, like the 15mm 2.8 fisheye, have issues using autofocus. It just keeps searching. But I have a lot of newer, fast ef lenses like the 85 1.2 II and 70-200 2.8 IS II and they performed perfectly.
Less than 5 stars because this is a canon brand item, designed to keep canon minded fans in canon's boat with the new line of cameras. Why is it so expensive?
And being so expensive, why isn't there a plastic cap to fill the hole when you don't want any ND performance? (I use tape, or let it go bare)
And why isn't there a lock to keep the dial from moving while you handle the body?
I love having a virtual built in ND using the R for video, but the dial gets accidentally shifted all the time and it becomes quite a hassle.
