Lightweight easy to use
I have been a diabetic for many years and I am very careful about needle disposal. The BD needle clip is easy to use. It is quick, simple, and holds a large number of used clippings. Small, hardy, efficient
The needle clipper can safely and efficiently remove all of the exposed needle on a syringe, keeping it safely in its hard casing. The casing will hold about a year's worth of needles. Replaces those big "sharps" containers
Essential for people who use syringes regularly. It clips and retains the complete needle, thus rendering the syringe useless and no longer perceived as a "sharps" item. Holds 1,000 needles; mine is about 2 years old. They do jam sometimes, and you need to remove the clipper, remove the jammed needle, and reassemble. It is probably OK.
It leaves a 1/2 mm stub. It did not eliminate the "sharps" hazard. The junkies would not be able to use the needle after the tool had done its job, but I would not handle the trash with anything thinner than elbow high leather work gloves. I suspect a knife edge approach would yield a smaller stub of the needle than the scissor approach used by this tool. Maybe a 1/2 mm stub is OK for industry standards, but no one told me before I bought it. I will keep looking for a tool that leaves a safer piece of scrap.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
