Get the lowdown on Bankhead from the Commentator AFTER you watch this excellent movie!
Of Course Alfred Hitchcock's Movie "LIFEBOAT" is a well known movie but I'd never seen it. I thought I'd collect all of Alfred Hitchcock's movies and landed on this one. I had heard it was good. IT WAS GREAT. It was NOT what I expected. I didn't know about the WWII part. That German U-boat captain was great played by Walter Slezak. What a super character actor. If you've watched any movies at all, you have seen him in many! Have you ever seen : SINBAD THE SAILOR with Maureen O'Hara and Fairbanks Jr. He is the Very Bad Guy in that movie - if you've not seen it - now is the time. Back to LIFEBOAT. All the actors are excellent. And on this version there is a movie commentator that gives you a surprising earful. I won't ruin the surprise. Buy the movie and get the 'low down' on Bankhead! zowie! A Lifeboat Full Of Personalities Getting On Each Other's Nerves
Top-notch film from the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. It's a lifeboat full of personalities getting on each other's nerves and trying to survive. Oh, and the U-Boat captain that sunk their ship also climbs on board after his U-Boat is sunk. That really complicates matters.
