If you are into spooky films and old-fashioned ghost stories, John Carpenter's 'The Fog' needs to be in your DVD horror collection. The R-rated, 90-minute DVD originally released in 2005 is set in the Pacific fishing community of Antonio Bay during the town's centennial anniversary. Strange phenomena such as a dense fog bank begins to occur on the 100th anniversary of a tragic shipwreck. These occurrences lead to a series of killings and points to one of the town's deep, dark secrets. The DVD features enhanced widescreen with a 16-by-9 aspect ratio. Viewers will also enjoy seeing such veteran actors as Adrienne Barbeau, Hal Holbrook, John Houseman, and Janet Leigh moving the plot forward with a mysterious ghostly glow.

Atmospheric Spooky Film!
Stellar John Carpenter film with usual Carpenter touches, mood, eerie music, super cast, special effects, love this film and its unusual story told around a camp fire with the voice of John Houseman, screen queen Jamie Curtis, her mother Janet Leigh and one of the victims from his Halloween movie. Ripped off lepers have a promise of a small island in exchange for all their wealth but lose both until their time for revenge on the island of the descendents.

Great movie, great price!
One of director John Carpenter’s best, starring Jamie Lee Curtis AND her mother Janet Leigh. Good movie to watch around Halloween. Engaging, suspenseful.

the fog should always be feared in the distance
is with out a doubt a real gripping film & really does make ya' think what is out there in the FOG!! carpenters style of directing is one of a kind as well..........this movie really stands alone as having great suspense just like his previous halloween

Creepy
This movie is one that creeped me out as a kid. It’s use of the fog and the unknown make for a creepy background that helps carry the movie even through some of the cheese. No gore just an interesting take on a natural occurrence.

Classic movie for a great price
John Carpenter's The Fog is one of my all-time favorite horror movies and I recently repurchased it In preparation for my October event for my YouTube channel anthiny jordan movies and more very thrilled to have this in my collection again if you want a great atmospheric horror movie there are few better

I am glad I figure if I bought the movie I could watch it any time I wanted!
I have always loved the original version of this movie of which they never play on TV any more and have replaced it with the newer version which I do not care for.
