SynopsisSet in the 1950s Paris of American expatriates, liaisons, and violence, a young man finds himself caught between desire and conventional morality. With a sharp, probing imagination, James Baldwin's now-classic narrative delves into the mystery of loving and creates a moving, highly controversial story of death and passion that reveals the unspoken complexities of the human heart.

  • UN-acceptable

There is blue pen writing on almost ever page. The cover and integrity of the pages is almost perfect until paragraphs of blue writing start covering the pages after the first page. Underlines and cross outs. Just a handful of pages are actually writing free. I am disappointed..

  • Ok condition

Item was listed as good condition, but did not state the item had annotations in it. If I knew the book was written in I may not have purchased it.
