Reviews' … not only provides a highly readable account of spinor calculus that is unparalleled in its depth and thoroughness, but also serves as a valuable source of reference for the numerous spinor and spinor-related formulae that arise in space-time physics.' New Scientist, ' … by far the most comprehensive treatment in the literature of spinorial methods in general relativity … I would regard this new work as one whose acquisition should be given top priority by anyone working in either the classical or quantum theories of gravity.' SynopsisThis volume introduces and systematically develops the calculus of 2-spinors. This is the first detailed exposition of this technique which leads not only to a deeper understanding of the structure of space-time, but also provides shortcuts to some very tedious calculations. Many results are given here for the first time.
