The Yardstick Against Which All Documentaries of the Great War are Measured
This is perhaps the first in a great tradition of phenomenal BBC documentaries that is the precursor to the World at War Series on World War II. It features an array of moving pictures from the Great War and direct interviews of participants in the conflict.

Great Narration from Sir Micheal Redgrave
First class set not only telling how the war was so pointless (as all wars are) but also from the soldiers point of view to their loved ones back home. Brilliant!

Another Gap Filled. 🇬🇧
I’m very interested in Military History and remember seeing this TV program back in the 1960’s. This collection will go well with my World At War box set. And at a very reasonable price.

Saw this back in '64 when the BBC first broadcast it. It was excellent then, it is excellent now.

Excellent documentary
The best documentary there is on the Great War. Full of eye witness accounts. Lots of background information.
