Saw this on PBS and I had to have it!!
Saw this on PBS and had to have it!! Some of the Scot characters are a little tough to understand so it helps to get subtitles, but Annika likes to talk to the viewer so you don't feel like a fly on the wall and get a better idea of what's happening. I saw her in another series and wasn't impressed but this is so much better and very well written. The characters are more rounded in personalities, and I'm looking forward to Season 2.

Lightweight with engaging cases
After reading other reviews I wasn't sure about buying but got a good price and I did like it. In fact, I'm waiting for the second season now. I just finished watching a series where the whole season (Shetland) dealt with one case and although it's one of my favorite programs, this had more cases and was a nice break.

Another good detective series
Pretty typical Brit detective series with main character single but with troublesome teen. It's an old formula that still works though and I like the fact that the drama is mildly episodic with the character progressions but with each episodes plot coming to a conclusion versus multiple episodes to end.

Really enjoyed this series on Public Broadcasting. Wanted it in my DVD collection. Good price for a new package. Annika, definitely worth watching
