It half-worked but not the half I wanted...
It half-worked but not the half I wanted. Disks of all kinds spun but never 'loaded'. The unit repeated load/read fail/shut down cycle unless mains power was disconnected, when it could be induced to pay digital content on USB keys if timed right... as can most smart TVs. (The fault wasn't the loose laser ribbon, easily fixed with Kapton tape, but microprocessor related.
