Compelling tale of the old south in a simpler and crueler time.
A friend recommended Pat Conroy's "South of Broad" to me saying that my writing style is similar, plus my twin (several sets of twins within the story) had just passed away while living in Charleston, SC. I went to see him just a few weeks before he passed and I remember many of the street names of the city's Historical district.
