Pure quality, and is well worth every dollar.
This is an extremely high quality unit. It works great with my 7610 running remote. It is really necessary for remote operation with the 7610 or other ICOM rigs that it will work on. This remote encoder has a nice heavy base which keeps in in place during use. The tuning knob has a nice smooth action.

Well made and a delight to use
I always thought this was over priced but I do not regret buying it. I now use it in preference to the vfo knob on the front of the radio. I find that tuning with the controller a lot easier because the tuning knob is sitting on the desk near to hand.
