It'll make you sweat AND feel good!
I was excited when I heard that Jessica Smith was coming out with a new fusion workout DVD, but my enthusiasm waned when I saw the length of the first session - 47 minutes. I am a 30 minutes or less workout kind of gal. Not b/c I don't have time (I have lots of time) but mostly b/c I'm lazy and am more likely to exercise if the workout session is shorter rather than longer. So, I looked at what else J. Smith had in her DVD library and opted for her Total Body Balance instead of Feel Good Fusion. I was told that the main difference between the two was that FGF didn't have any floor work. Well, TBB is way more challenging than FGF (obviously I bought FGF b/c TBB wasn't what I wanted after all). The sessions are shorter but all the harder for it. I know I'm not supposed to review another DVD here, but I wanted to let anyone wondering, like I did, which to get what the differences are. The first session of FGF is long, and by the end I was feeling it for sure. It is challenging, but I did feel pretty good afterwards. The second session was by far my favorite on this disc. This 35 minute session was over before I knew but in a good way. So I totally recommend this one over the TBB especially if you have extra time to do the longer session and don't care for/can't do floor work. I should say that I only recommend it people who have already been using Jessica Smith's DVDs or who are in pretty good shape. It requires a pretty strong core to do some of the moves b/c she's all about the "balance challenges" as she calls them. If the first session had been shorter, I'd have given this at least 4 stars if not 5. That said, I've been using her DVDs for about 18 months and I can't believe how strong I've become - core, back, legs, arms. She's amazing!
