Super Audio Compact Discs. “AKUS LIVE”
Bought my first SACD new, factory sealed. It’s a great sounding 2 disc concert and being a 5.1 channel surround does place the band members on stage as you would see them if there. I have the DVD of this concert and seeing them play is a treat. For the ears this SACD is just as much a treat too. The jewel box is different than regular CD’s, it has rounded corners and is a bit better quality, and OEM replacements are not cheap either. The rarity seems to determine marketplace prices and can be prohibitive. Hi Res Audio is a big deal if you like quality audio sound in your system at home. Now streaming services offer this higher level audio and it is really good, but at a price.
