On the money with a plausible story line.
This movie is about a film-flam traveling evangelist who is foirced to stop in a rural Kansas town because of equipment breakdown. So he sets up shop, flip-flams the locals, and, in his own way, is redeemed by the faith of one local kid on crutches. Steve Marin is sensationally good. The "tricks of the trade" are revealed. The gospel singers are fantastic. This is one hell of a film, and I've met no one who has seen it who diudn't love it.

Great testimony for miracles.
This, DVD, although a little old-school, as a fantastic message for today. There is very little swearing, and only get a couple hand gestures that were inappropriate for younger audiences. And only one scene that alluded to a possible relationship. The story is fitting for today And provides hope for those who are searching.

More Than a Fun Watch
While the movie was entertaining with strong charters, the message is much deeper if you let it simmer with for a little while. I am not sure Mr. Martin knows how great of a lesson he was delivering when he made this project.

A must have for any movie buff.
Steve Martin is a comic genius. The ideas he comes up with are sarcastic, endearing and memorable. This movie shows what happens when you mock what you see on the outside and realize a deeper meaning and self discovery. a classic for the whole family.

Great movie. If you know God, have a sense of humor, and some insight/discernment, this is an incredibly inspiring movie.

Great Story
Great story line and acting by all. DVD is minimal with no bonuses at all. You'll get more out of this if you're a Christian.
