Based on Leon Uris' sweeping novel, EXODUS is the epic saga of the founding of Israel in the days following World War II. Paul Newman stars as an Israeli resistance fighter, a member of the Hagannah, involved in the effort to bring a group of 600 European Jews from British-blockaded Cyprus into newly partitioned Palestine, right before the United Nations is to vote on making it a Jewish homeland. This classic war epic from director Otto Preminger enjoyed nominations for Best Supporting Actor and Best (Color) Cinematography at the 1961 Academy Awards, and won for best Musical Score.

"Exodus" is excellent!
A hard-hitting, poignant reminder of what the Jews suffered in the time leading up to the establishment of modern-day Israel. I had seen this movie years ago, and never forgot the impact it had on me. I am so glad to possess the DVD now.

Eagerly Awaited
I have wanted to see this movie for sometime. I have checked all the streaming movie sites hoping to find it to no avail. I finally checked eBay to see if it was available for purchase and it was and affordable. The DVD I received was in perfect shape and I enjoyed viewing it.

Exodus
An interesting movie about the trials and tribulations of the Jewish people after WWII. I never saw it years ago when it first came out. Maybe if I watch it a couple more times, it will have more of an effect.

Movie review
Great movie was very happy to buy it because it's hardly ever shown on tv. Love the characters, the storyline and the beauty of the movie. All time favorite! !
