The jokes come fast and furious as Topper attempts to clear his family name while completing his mission despite the absurdity going on around him, and the spoofs are not limited to TOP GUN; DANCES WITH WOLVES and THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS also receive their due! Lloyd Bridges turns in a hilarious performance as the accident prone and eccentric Admiral Tug Benson, and Cary Elwes plays Topper's sleazy rival to perfection.

Still as silly, still as great
I can`t say it`s better than I expected because I`ve seen it before... I expected it to be very goofy, and it is! Beware: this is the good `Hot Shots`... the sequel (Hot Shots Part Deux) is dismal, compared.

Almost as good as Airplane!
So many funny lines and things that you might miss the first time watching. Airplane! Is a classic ... this message movie is a close second. It is a parody of Top Gun and many other movies of that genre.
