In 1854 Wyoming, the wife of a powerful Shoshone Indian chief has a vision that a blonde child will save her daughter. Boy grows up, learning to accept responsibility, and bridge two cultures
The movie is a chronicle of the life of Nick Wilson. Nick was a boy who ran off with the Shoshone, and lived with them for a number of years. He was treated as Chief Washakie's son. A Shoshone woman served as a consultant on the film, so it is more than usually accurate. However, the older brother search in the movie is total fiction, did not happen. You can read the real story in "The White Indian Boy" by Elijah Nicholas Wilson

Good
this movie is historically true. it also stars Russell Means who was the head of the Native American nation for years. It's a good movie that moves along at a good pace. I like the fact of its painting the Indians in a very nice light as opposed to them always looking like the bad guys. came quickly, packaged well, price was right, can't ask for more than that.......

Have watched movie on tv before. Have not not watched my new dvd though. I had to have it in my collection to watch and rewatch.
