The Original!!!
Preface: Disney is remaking this movie...watch the trailer...it's not something I want to bring a child to see...I'm old-fashioned...but I digress... I LOVE this version of "Pete's Dragon!" The music is wonderful! The charectars are wonderful! The casting is wonderful! Even as a 60 year old, Elliot the dragon's voice still makes me chuckle! Is this an "older" Disney film? Sure thing is! But it is still worth its weight in gold as as an early mix of live action/cartoon film. As a teacher, I know thousands of students who love this film and especially its music. Awesome!
I haven't watched this since I was a child some 30 years ago and remember it being so fun to watch! As I'm not for musicals much I wasn't sure how much I'd care to see it now but I loved every minute of it! What a fun, serious but silly plot that's light and engaging!
