The imaginative, hilarious comedy, PEE-WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE, stars happy-go-lucky Pee-Wee Herman (aka comedian Paul Reubens.) Pee-Wee Herman is not an average little boy--he exists in a grown-up body, has a penchant for 1950s Retro memorabilia, and lives in a zany, make-believe world. He is on a mission to find his beloved red bicycle, which has been stolen, and on the way Pee-Wee has a series of cartoon-like adventures.When a fortune teller instructs Pee-Wee to look for his bike in the basement of the Alamo, he takes her advice. Embarking on a kind of Hero's Journey, Pee-Wee comes into contact with characters even crazier than he is. One of the more memorable scenes comes after he starts up a touching friendship with a romantic waitress (Diane Salinger) and is chased by her boyfriend (Jon Harris) around a park of giant dinosaur models until he finds himself in an unfriendly biker bar where, in order to avoid being killed, he performs an impromptu dance to the old surfer tune "Tequila." With imaginative sets and dream sequences that use claymation and pixilated models, PEE-WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE is a side-splitting comedy that references almost every Hollywood genre, especially the perennial favorite Road Movie.Product Identifiers

Satisfied
I've been steadily replacing all of my family's vhs's into DVD's and eBay has allowed me to find specific DVDs for really great prices and the shipping has always been faster than expected. Regarding the movie it's my mom's favorite and a family classic that we will continue to watch for generations. Pee-Wees Big Adventure Review
I found Pee Wees Big Adventure to be entertaining in a mildly predictable manner-It was the type of DVD movie that once you started to watch one had to see through to the end-Good for one and a half hours or so but forgettable when finished. Still a classic
I hadn't seen this in quite a while, after all these years this was still humorous and entertaining. Directed by Tim Burton who i really love as a director, and Paul Reubens as our lovable Pee Wee. The story starts off with Pee Wee waking up and getting dressed to head out on his daily errands, He is riding his cherished Bicycle that his rich, evil friend Francis wants to buy very badly. After laughing hysterically at the thought of ever selling his most prized posession, Pee Wee sets out on his day. Shortly after completing has errands, he finds his bike has been stolen...And sets out on a hilarious quest of misadventure to find out who stole it and get it back.
