Along with being one of the party band of the 1970's, and a spectacle of excess and clown makeup, KISS's frisky band of hard rock was also musically influential. On this tribute, KISS MY A.., the band's archive is opened and 13 vintage live performances are compiled. In addition, a 1977 rehearsal and perviously unseen band interviews and photos are included. Finally, two very different bands--heavy metal gods Anthrax and ethereal pop group the Gin Blossoms--are filmed in the studio, performing their own versions of KISS tunes.
