Product Information

Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger star in this remake of the 1971 film based on Jim Thompson's novel. A woman sleeps with a sleazy gangster to get her bankrobber husband out of jail, promising to do another bank job for him. When they are double-crossed, they flee the mob and the cops while questioning their own loyalty to each other. The unrated version includes a steamier scene between Basinger and Baldwin.

A superb movie
Wow - Alec Baldwin, Kim Basinger just turn up the heat to where things are boiling. There's a version of GETAWAY out with Steve McQueen (fabulous in other movies) but IT is very poorly done. - I'd rate it about a 2. This version of Getaway, with the wild duo of Baldwin & Basinger is just superb - an easy 10!. And all supporting actors are so good that it's hard for them to keep from stealing the show. If you like an action thriller where tension runs high and guns go to blazing - watch this one. (And Alec & Kim riding in a GARBAGE Truck will have you in stiches) This version is a little 'pricey' - but worth every solitary cent! Jack.

I had this DVD loaned it never returned. 1 of the BEST movies EVER
All the actors are A-list, solid plot and unbelievable action. Plus we get to see Kim and Alec before they couldn't stand each other LOL but not funny

Getaway
Always liked this movie. Now I can see it anytime I want. Baldwin and Bassinger are steamy on screen and off apparently. Great action. Only criticism is Michael Maddens bad wig.
