No good deed goes unpunished in the dark family comedy 'Problem Child', which finds Ben Healy (John Ritter) regretting his decision to become an adoptive parent to a terror of a child. When he and his wife are unable to conceive a child of their own, Ben turns to a shady adoption agent (Gilbert Gottfried) and ends up bringing home a seven-year-old boy named Junior (Michael Oliver). It doesn't take long before Ben realizes he's gotten more than he's bargained for. After ruining camping trips and Little League games with his awful behavior, Junior turns his attention to the family cat and ends up setting the house on fire. Ben realizes quickly that Junior is far more sinister than he could have imagined, but soon he must work to get him home safe after Junior is kidnapped by an escaped serial killer to whom he's been writing letters.
