PJ Benaroya Hall CD
This is an excellent CD of an all time great band and I have been lucky enough to be able to purchase a copy of this CD in excellent condition. Recorded in Seattle, mostly acoustic with a really different set list, this is a stand out show in a small venue with a hometown very responsive crowd and Pearl Jam performing with a certain level of intimacy with a clear and uncluttered arrangement. This is a great CD to add to anyone’s collection, even if you are not a huge PJ fan, it has a few excellent rare songs and a really unusual set list of their own songs. Must Must Have
The live version of “Black” on this rare Pearl Jam CD is transcendent even if you’re not a fan of Pearl Jam. Other live CDs just don’t compare at all. Why this isn’t more widely available is a mystery. Listen to how connected the audience is to Eddy when they sing the verse with such perfection. They have become one, singing in unison with energy and precision as if they’ve waited for this all their lives. Only recently while listening to Radio Paradise (an *incredible* and -free- online radio station) was I reminded of this particular version.
