Gods and Generals
A bit overly sentimental in parts. But characters more believable than The earlier Gettysburg helped by better acting performances. The battle set pieces particularly Fredericksburg are monumental and again much superior to the meandering extras in Gettysburg.

Brilliant film
I love Gettysburg and have seen it on PBS America several times, so I thought I would treat myself - and no adverts. This is one of my favourite films ever, all the characters are memorable, and the action scenes and quieter moments are equally moving, plus the music is brilliant too. So pleased I bought it, and the added bonus of Gods and Generals - amazing bargain.

Five star , fantastic , if you don't see it you have missed the best ever civil war films ever made!
Excellent couple of films , very historically accurate , and some Stella performances , made you feel empathy for the men in the film and understand the hopelesnes they must have felt being a nation at war with itself
