Product Information

Computer gaming's luckless lounge lizard, Larry Laffer, has retired his leisure suit, put away his martini glass, and is out of the romance game for good. His nephew, however, still has a glimmer of hope. The follow-up to Sierra's long-running graphic adventure series makes its PS2 debut courtesy of developer High Voltage Software, best known for games in the Hunter: The Reckoning series. Players take control of Larry Lovage, who not only has his uncle's receding hairline, but also his distinct talent for getting slapped whenever he's around women.

In an attempt to jumpstart his humdrum life, Larry decides to participate in a reality-dating program being taped at his community college. Inspired by the humor in such films as American Pie and There's Something About Mary, the game will have players experiencing a number of risqué and lewd plot twists through 20 levels of adventuring. Though it follows the same style of puzzles found in the first seven games in the series, players are free to explore the college campus in full 3D from a perspective set behind the stumbling seducer as he meets up with a variety of offbeat characters in his search for true love.

  • Great game with great game-play. Keeps you interested for hours.

I remember playing this game when I was younger and had to get it again to finish it. It's still a rather crude game with humor that some people may find offensive but to others like me, it's great. There's plenty to do and a lot of collectibles as well as mini-games which are great. Some take time to get used to and get good at. The only problem I've had with it is one of the mini-games is sort of a rhythm game, and the speed it goes is a little difficult to keep up with as the controllers I use are not brand new anymore and have some difficulty with keeping up with the inputs. But I've found that it's pretty lax on the timing and you are able to do the first note early, second note on time, and last note a little late and be able to get it. It took me several tries to get it but it does work once you figure out the timing. It helps that the only fast paced inputs seem to come at just 3 at a time with a little pause between the next set. The quarters mini-game is a bit difficult at times, but you can get it after working at it a little bit as well. The graphics are nothing to write home about, which honestly, if you're playing this game, you don't go telling everyone anyway, but they are pretty decent considering they are on the PS2. The interesting part for me is getting all of the hidden collectibles. The point of the game is to get with all the girls and make them love you. To get with some, you have to make sure you're dressed in the correct clothes. Personally, I would recommend this game to my friends. Hope this helps.

  • Leisure Suit Larry was one of the first PC games I got into, had to sneak in and guess at the Maturity questions. But if you got them wrong, it was ok

This one isn't as classic seeming as the first iterations, which were PC and graphics very bad. Not like Larry ever "gets any" but at least these boobs are somewhat real whereas the other ones were more like squares. Either way, gameplay is good. I do with there was a little more variation with the dialogue, especially since a lot of the games are redundant. Like quarters or trampoline, etc. Seemingly get the same three responses. Some of the games are impossible but you can sneak cheat in front of them. PS2 in this year is probably hilarious to most but I got the console free from a friend and thus descended into the 1990s all over again.

  • Funny game

Wish I could watch the screen while I play this but I have to concentrate on the button mashing. The storyline and conversations are hilarious.

  • Delightful, Awkward, Yes!

This is such a funny game. This is what they shouldve handed out instead of forcing human development class! Delightfully awkward and how i learned how to play quarters...
