Probably all the "casual fan" would ever want or need of KC and the Sunshine Band...?
KC and the Sunshine Band was one of the biggest and best acts of the 1970s, regardless of genre. The hits (and there were many) were great, masterfully arranged and produced gems ("I'm Your Boogie Man" probably being the most stunning of the 70s era), but one listen to the inane "I Like To Do It" (which flopped as a single) and you get the sense that there may not be a treasure trove of brilliant deep album tracks waiting to be discovered...or is there? Harry "KC" Casey did write and sing some of the catchiest songs of the 1970s (and 1980s in the case of the fantastic "Give It Up"), and all those hits are here. Some of KC's lesser-known tracks such as the infectious "Wrap Your Arms Around Me" and the gorgeous "All I Want" are also here, but this collection omits the ultra-funky "I Get Lifted" and one of my personal favorites "Que Pasa?" which you may want to seek out elsewhere if you feel yourself catching "KC" fever after listening to this CD. Sound quality is excellent, though not surprisingly, some of the earlier tracks like "Queen Of Clubs" sound a bit muffled and hissy. Having grown up hearing most of these songs, revisiting them on CD made me realize how underrated they were and are, in spite of their success. I've gained a whole new level of respect and appreciation for Harry Casey's writing, production and unique vocals.

Great sound! Remastered by Bill Inglot from excellent tapes, full dynamic range with no compression, limiting, excessive equalization or noise reduction. Make sure you get the plain cover version - the later ones don't sound nearly as good.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Good band from the 70's.
