This classic recording, remastered for SACD, is paired on this release with brand new performances of similarly programmatic works by Locke, Vivaldi, Marais, Telemann and Rameau, all performed by Savall's acclaimed ensemble Le Concert des Nations. This varied and expressively wide-ranging collection is a welcome addition to the existing landmark recordings made by Savall in this repertoire.
