Waldo Pepper
Saw this movie years ago and loved it then. Wanted to see it again and still love it. The ending is worth the watch. Aerial shots are outstanding.

The Great Waldo Pepper
This is a great movie. I also highly recommend this movie. It has a lot of action scenes that are both funny, and has a sad side to it as well. Waldo Pepper's loses his master designer in a airplane crash trying to do the outside loop stunt.. The horror lied with the airplane catches fire, and he told Waldo Pepper that he is burning. Waldo Pepper is forced to take his life to escape from this tragedy. I also like the action flying at the end of the movie when he is requested by the German ace pilot to fly with him at the end of the movie.

Almost great Waldo Pepper
The film is exquisitely shot, the performers are all fine, but it can be a bit of a downer. Director Hill does have the background as a pilot and supposedly did some of the flying and it pays off. It would be even better if Universal would put this out on BluRay but at least this is widescreen, unlike a previous release.
