A Star Trek modeler's must have kit!...
I bought and built the original issue of this kit, decades ago, AMT upgraded the kit with better mold tooling, details, parts and decals to allow the builder to build one of two versions of this iconic starship, the version seen on screen in Star Trek III, The Search for Spock, or Captain Sulu's version as seen in the original crew's last feature, Star Trek VI, The Undiscovered Country. If the builder should so choose, there is a supplemental decal set, sold separately by AMT, that completes the look of the ship with further hull details, like aztecing and hull markings. Well detailed
The ordering was easy, shipping was on time and the kit arrived well packaged, with all parts , no damage to box. The kit has good detail, little to no flash, I have not fully completed it yet but parts fit well so far and I expect not much trouble with the rest of the assembly.
