Plastic pot and only half full.
I haven't had to buy this for some years and my immediate reaction was that the amount was less, the pot was only half full (either fill it up to make 200 gms, or reduce the amount of plastic!) and the sponge felt thin - it used to be less squidgy.. The product worked (I like it for items which you can't dip or easily polish with a cloth and for very tarnished items so I have no problems there. I don't ever remember having to wear gloves to use it but maybe it is more toxic these days! The sponge could be housed in the lid to make room for more content. Simple and quick to use, silver stays untarnished longer
I've used Goddards silver paste for decades. It's simple and efficient leaves no residue. Simply apply with the sponge provided, clean and rinse item off in warm water and then dry with paper or material towel. Even the most intricate silver such as jewellery is easy to clean. Super Foam

gleaming silver

Goddards silver pad. A brilliant, easy to use, non-abrasive silver polish.
Goddards silver foam pad polish is superb and I use it on all my silver musical instruments and any other silver I have. As it is non abrasive and rinsed off with water it doesn't leave deposits in any engraving/ mouldings to harden and turn white. See attached photos of my silver plated metal clarinet before cleaning and after....

Not like it used to be but still works!
This is not the same quality that it used to be and it doesn't quite work as efficiently and effectively as it used to when the soap was more pinker and produced a nice lather. I found that I needed to use quite a lot more of the soap than I ever used to and it certainly doesn't lather as it did. It used to be so easy and effective at cleaning and polishing but now it is quite taxing. I still think this is a better way to clean silver though as all the residue can be washed off. Easy to apply time saver
