IMO One of the Great Manga of our time
Bleach is a great manga, awesome art and characters along with cool and interesting weapon design and powers. The art and story are amazing and the pacing is definitely better than the anime. This volume covers the first chapter up to most of the characters in the main group beginning to be introduced to the Spirit World. This is an awesome series and the first and second story arcs are definitely it's high point. If you're new to the series I would go with the manga over the anime
