My rifle likes these bullets!
My Traditions Kentucky flintlock rifle with a 1:66 twist preferred these bullets over the longer REAL bullet that is 320 grains. I was hitting a paper plate at 50 yards offhand with these over 60 grains FFFg. I read on a forum that they are even more accurate if you put a wonder wad between the powder and bullet, so I am going to try that. Also I am going to try different powder charges. One thing I noticed is that these were not seating as easily as the longer ones in the tip of the barrel. The longer ones are narrow at the base allowing for easy loading alignment. I coned my barrel a small amount so that these 250 grain ones will easily set in the barrel. I have not shot them yet with the coned barrel. Another thing is that is took considerable effort to load these in the first few inches of the rifle, but once started, they went down easily. If your rifle is a faster twist it might like the longer REAL bullets. I suggest getting both molds to see which one your rifle prefers.
