Classic Pink Floyd at a bargain price
If you like Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd and want to hear pretty much all he recorded with them, this is for you! 4 CDs for under £30. What's not to like? The set includes rare and hard-to-find demos, b-sides and alternative mixes, plus two 'lost' singles. Also included is a gig from Stockholm in 1967, the classic singles Arnold Layne and See Emily Play, and a sequence of recordings for a film that are dull to the point of astonishment - but at this price, it's not an issue. Great packaging, a nice booklet and replica memorabilia. The sound quality is a revealtion, I wish all remasters were this good. All in all, a complete bargain! This for me was purely about Syd. It's great, Syd's Pink Floyd as David Bowie once wrote.
